Javelin Services is a young, but fast-growing pest management company in Yangon. Leaders in innovation and customer service, our service is designed to help our clients eliminate the conditions that allow pests to thrive, as well as the professional service of eradicating pests quickly. We offer specialist advice, assistance, training, and professional pest control services to clients across Myanmar.
Javelin Services offers an alternative approach to pest control that developed from an in-depth understanding of the biology and behavior of Myanmar’s pest species. We call our approach intelligent pest control. All our pest control programmes start with a comprehensive inspection and analysis of the causes of our customer’s pest problems. With this information, we can deliver treatments that target the source of the problem, achieving faster elimination and using the least amount of chemicals as possible. By following this approach, we have been awarded observer membership to the British Pest Control Association (BPCA).
OUR PEOPLE
EXPERTISE
- All senior managers are fully qualified and experienced BPCA pest control technicians.
- All our team supervisors have extensive international pest control experience.
- All members of staff have a working knowledge of entomology, allowing us to identify and eliminate the causes of pest infestations.
TRAINING
- All our technicians have a been put through intensive theoretical and practical pest control training courses by our consultancy board on the ground in Yangon.
- Senior managers regularly attend international conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new and improved pest treatment programmes.
COMMUNICATION
- All senior staff are fluent in both Burmese and English, allowing us to communicate with all our customers and offer advise on tips to keep pests away between visits.
- After our initial inspection, we provide our customers with an overview of their pest situation and what strategy we will follow to control it.
Our In-house Entomologist
Muhammad Zaini Bin Abd Rashid
In-house entomologist
Zaini has 28 years of international experience in technical, sales, and marketing in the pest control industry in S.E.Asia. He spent 4 years as a researcher at the School of Biological Science, University Sains Malaysia, and 20 years in the pesticide division of Bayer Chemical, of which 5 years were in the Research and Development Division. He is a consultant at PEKA (Association of Public Health Entomology Malaysia) and having spent over half of his time at Bayer, specializing in the termite field, he is one of S.E.Asia’s leading termite experts.
OUR CONSULTANCY BOARD
In the pest control industry, no two jobs are the same. Pests are adept at adapting to their environment. Thats why its crucial to have experienced team members to help implement the most appropriate treatments. Clive, Adrian and Gan have advised national, regional and local governments in more than 70 countries, as well as multinational corporations, including Mars, Coca-Cola and Macdonalds.
All have come to Myanmar to exclusively train Javelin staff on pest control techniques, procedures and pest biology and behaviour.
ADRIAN MEYER
Vertebrate Specialist
Adrian works with us on developing rodent control solutions. He has 40 years of experience in the pest control industry and is one of the world’s leading vertebrate specialists. He has held vocational positions as the vertebrate specialist for the U.K. Ministry of Agriculture, and the U.K.’s Central Science Laboratory and consulted for the W.H.O. Additionally, Adrian has consulted for a range of commercial and governmental organisations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He has also authored several books on pest control.
CLIVE BOASE
Invertebrate Specialist
Clive works with us on developing new control solutions for all common insect pests. He spent 17 years in the field of insecticide science, culminating as head of worldwide development for insecticides at Cambridge Animal and Public Health Ltd (now owned by Bayer). He has over 40 years of experience in the pest control industry, sitting on the Executive Committee of the International Conference on Urban Pests, and being an examiner for the BPCA. His overseas experience in the field is mainly in Africa and Asia. He has authored several books and papers on pest control.
